Blog#11: Fit Your Business - my favorite TV commercial

I'm Haruka. Let me introduce a nice TV commercial.

Have you ever seen it? I like it because its song and images are so cute and beautiful.
SAGAWA EXPRESS is a type of transportation Business Company. It has home delivery service, so it is a popular company among us.

This TV commercial targets everyone, but SAGAWA's main target is companies or businesspeople rather than the public. I'll show you the reason, please watch KURONEKO YAMATO's TV commercials and compare them.

TOKIO and their song are so cool!! I guess YAMATO tries to impress the public by a popular idol group. A catch phrase "we deliver to People, not places" is impressive. This phrase shows they deliver to individuals. On the other hand, SAGAWA's phrase "Fit Your Business" means they want to be a partner of your business. Thus it targets businesspeople.

In this TV commercial, we can see some people: a shopper, a designer (maybe), elementary school students, workers in an industry, a farmer, a businessman. They do nothing special, it seems like our daily life. But motion is slower and images are more beautiful than usual.

Colorful trucks are main character in this TV commercial. Besides the words of its song are names of color.
Red, blue, purple, and orange, and green
Black, white, scarlet, violet, pink
Navy blue, mint, and lime, ivory
Apricot, yellow, and tangerine
The song is so simple, but cute.

Trucks turn any colors. By colorful trucks, SAGAWA expresses to be able to "fit your business". It suggests that it can respond to your requests with diverse service.

I like this TV commercial, but it is not effective enough to choose it. It doesn't show why SAGAWA can "fit your business". We cannot get the reason in it, but it succeeds in making SAGAWA's image better.

You can see the other ads of SAGAWA in this page.

Blog#11: My favorite TV commercial

I’m Yoshiko.
Today I introduce a TV commercial, “Kinmugi”. This is a type of beer made by Suntory. A target of this advertisement is over 20 adults or middle aged people.
There are 2 people in this TV commercial. The man’s name is Bakarizumu who is a comedian. And the woman’s name is Maki Youko who is an actress. This is one of a series. In this story, The 2 people are husband and wife. The place of this is may be the way to go their house. They are carrying a big Kinmugi.

This couple is very lovely, isn’t it? The music is common to the series. This is ring in my ears. And the phrase ‘’off” is ring in my ears too. I don’t know the reason they are carrying the big Kinmugi, but this is very impressive. I think that is a massage of this ad. In short, this ad says that “this Kinmug is 70% off of sugariness” and “this is exactly the commodity, Kinmugi.”
I like this TV commercial. Formerly, I have heard that Bakarizumu is very shy so he is difficult to talk to woman. But in this story, he has very beautiful wife and they are very lovely couple. So I think he is awkward with woman and this is made the couple looks lovely.

Blog#10: My school festival

I'm Haruka. I belong to Gakushuin University Railway Club, so I join school festival as one of its members. Let me introduce it.

During school festival, our works were exhibited. For example, we sold an annual magazine written by all the members. It reports Kumamoto's train, because we traveled there in this summer vacation. The magazine shows our usual activity.

The other exhibitions are made voluntarily.

It is the biggest exhibition, a N scale train model. Small trains run in small town. Visitors can control one of trains with a controller, which looks like a real one ( you can see it left in the photo ).

And I made coloring papers, which is called NURI-E in Japanese. I drew E2 series ( Shinkansen )  and Odakyu Romance-car MSE. They are popular with people, and children enjoyed coloring them. I was so happy.
If you want to see all our works, come to our space next year.

Blog#10: During the school festival

 I’m Yoshiko.

During a school festival, I didn’t go to university. I went to Kofu in Yamanashi. It was a casual idea. I have thought for 2 months that I would like to go somewhere alone. Then I decided to go there in three days before. In there, I visited “Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art”. It is famous that it has a collection of Millet. I like Millet so I was excited in there. If you interested in Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art, check this site. My favorite works of there are “The Return of the Flock” of Millet and “The Morning” of Jules Breton. I like the latter most.

Fortunately, an exhibition of Okura Syukokan was hold during I stayed there. I enjoyed Japanese pictures too. I like Hayami Gyosyu, Kobayashi Kokei and Kaburagi Kiyokata. Especially I like Kaburagi Kiyokata. A woman he painted is so beautiful. The beauty of it can’t be felt without looked the work.
I spend a full time. When I walked around the museum, I saw autumn colors. I was refreshed. Of course I like to go on a trip with friends. But in winter, I would like to go somewhere alone again.

Blog#9: A Special Place for me

Ya, I'm Haruka. Let me introduce my memorable place. It is Toyama, a Japanese prefecture which faces the Japan Sea and has a lot of mountains. Have you ever been there?

These pictures were taken in Keyakidaira, which is the end of the line for Kurobe Gorge Line ( Kurobe Kyokoku Tetsudo in Japanese ). You can see how beautiful Toyama's nature is. I like Toyama because of its greatness. It told me power and awe of nature.

And Toyama is the first place I stayed alone. I had never traveled by myself, so I was nervous at that time. But Toyama is so calm that I didn't feel nervous. There are not too many people, and they don't hurry like Tokyo people. Its calmness is the best point of it.

When you have a chance to go to Toyama, feel its greatness and calmness please.

Blog#9: My Hometown

   I'm Yoshiko.
Today, I introduce my hometown, Mitaka.Though my father are often transferred, I have lived here for 16 years. In here, I went to elementary school, junior high school and high school. I spent school life in Mitaka so I have a lot of friends in here. And this is beautiful place I think. There is Inokashira park around here. I often take a walk in Inokashira park.
It is famous that Mitaka has a Ghibli museum. The way to go there, we can see Ghibli characters. The street to go there is my favorite place to take a walk too. There are various trees, for example, cherry blossom, a hydrangea, a ginkgo, a fragrant orange-colored olive and so on. I can enjoy taking a walk all year around. Recently, I feel a good smell about a fragrant orange-colored olive in there. This is my home town. I love here.
