Blog#2: Dancing kids, and teachers...?

Hello, this is Haruka. Nowadays 9mm Parabellum bullet ( a Japanese rock band's name ) excites me very much. I'm so happy to be surrounded by my favorite music.

I bring this photo from THE ASAHI SHIMBUN DIGITAL website. Now I will talk about this article. And you can understand the basic information here. According to them, junior high school must have taught dance to students since this spring, and modern dance ( for example, hip hop ) is very popular. Did you know that?
To be frank with you, I'm against forced dance class. I wonder dance is so fun for some students, but too hard for teachers. Some of teachers have never learned dance. They must go to dance school to teach with confidence. Dance will make their lives harder.
But dance is so exciting, I know. It is good that some students can choose dance class. I want dance class to be unforced.

How do you feel this news?

Blog#1: Golden Week

Hello! I am Satoru Shirakawa.
Last Golden Week, I went to see baseball in the Seibu Dome with my friend. The Seibu Dome is in Tokorozawa and I went to that by Seibu Ikebukuro Line from Ikebukuro. The price of tickets changes by a seat. Outfield seat is 1500 yen to 200 yen. Infield seat is 2500 yen to 4000 yen. Special seat is 30000 yen. I watched it in infield seat. It costs me 3000 yen.

This game is Saitama Seibu Lions versus Chiba Lotte Marines. Because I am a fan of Saitama Seibu  Lions,  I hope that Lions win Marrines.
And the result……

Regrettably, the result of game ended in a draw.
But,  I was very happy and great memory.

Thank you for reading.

Blog#1: One of my favorite poems

Saku Miyakawa
Today, I introduce one of my favorite poems to you. I major art history of the western countries in this university, but honestly I`m interested in the philosophy and the literature of the world. So I study and read books about these field by myself. Especially about poems, It`s one of the old habits for me to read some poems everyday. I think to talk about poems is to talk about me to you.

On the Quiet Rainy Night
(written by Tanikawa Shuntaro/ translated into English by W.I.Eliot and Kawamura Kaduo)

I`d like to go on just sitting here.
Hearing fresh surprises and sorrows quietly sinking down,
indulging in the odor of God without believing in God,
gathering fallen leaves from city streets in a faraway land,
steeping myself in the magic lantern of past and future,
trusting in a soft sofa on the blue sea,
and, above all else,
loving myself boundlessly.

I`d like to go on just sitting here by myself.

This poem is made by Tanikawa Shuntaro who is one of the greatest poets in Japan.A lot of his poems are translated  into English and other language and read in the world. On the Quiet Rainy Night is made in 1950 when Tanikawa was 19 years old. And this poem is contained in his first poetical works, Two Billion Light-Years of Solitude.
How do you feel this ? I will be glad to hear something you feel honestly.

P.S.
I`m sorry I don`t attach any picture or animation in this Blog#1. I`m afraid you are tired to read. I`m going to attach something next time.

Blog#1:My favorite book and movie after GW

I'm Yoshiko Watanabe. Last week GW I was in bed with a fever. I couldn’t do anything about study so I read a book and watched a movie to kill time. The book’s and the movie’s name is “The Witch of the West Is Dead”. The book were written by Kaho Nashiki in 1994 and the movie showed in 2008.

The vital characters of this movie are Mai and Mai’s grandmother (she calls herself “the witch of the west”). Mai had a very big stress in school, so she needs to go her grandmother’s house to refresh. In there, she started “a training of witch”. Then she learned the means of “a training of witch”. It means “deciding oneself all things to do.”
I love this movie because it is so beautiful, so peaceful and the characters are so lovely.
When I finished watching this movie, I was moved to tears. (When I watch movies I’m often moved to tears.) In GW I was in bed all days but I had a good time.

Blog#1: My favorite music -ELECTROCUTICA-

Hello! My name is Haruka. I major in art history. I'm especially interested in Japonism, because I can guess differences between Japan and Europe. Maybe I will talk about its details someday.
Today, I want to introduce you to ELECTROCUTICA ( after I call it "CUTICA" ). I've been a fan of it since 2008. Please watch these videos anyway.

What do you think about them? They are produced by CUTICA. According to its website, CUTICA is a creative music company based in Tokyo which is managed by artists. Main creators are Treow ( Composer ) and Shizuka Kitajima ( Art Director, Designer ).
The feature of CUTICA is independent activities. For example, CUTICA can produce the CDs without a record company, in other words, doesn't depend on music industry conventions.
And CUTICA has ever played as a band, collaborated with other superb music artists, produced a video for Windows etc. CUTICA's activity is multicolored, I think.
If you get to like CUTICA, I'm so glad. Thank you for reading! Goodbye.
