Hello! My name is Haruka. I major in art history. I'm especially interested in Japonism, because I can guess differences between Japan and Europe. Maybe I will talk about its details someday.
Today, I want to introduce you to ELECTROCUTICA ( after I call it "CUTICA" ). I've been a fan of it since 2008. Please watch these videos anyway.
What do you think about them? They are produced by CUTICA. According to its website, CUTICA is a creative music company based in Tokyo which is managed by artists. Main creators are Treow ( Composer ) and Shizuka Kitajima ( Art Director, Designer ).
The feature of CUTICA is independent activities. For example, CUTICA can produce the CDs without a record company, in other words, doesn't depend on music industry conventions.
And CUTICA has ever played as a band, collaborated with other superb music artists, produced a video for Windows etc. CUTICA's activity is multicolored, I think.
If you get to like CUTICA, I'm so glad. Thank you for reading! Goodbye.
Awesome man awesome. I've been a fan of Treow ever since he first released L'Azur back in October 2008. Chaining Intention was used in the MMD PV that won the 6th MMD cup a few years back. ARCA was an amazing song dedicated to AVTechno back when DYE was mimicked by Kat-tun (aka Pak-kun). I also like Drain and Melas, generally for using vocaloids as an instrument of synthetic potential rather than a pseudo-human voice. Now they're producing songs with Luschka, but I'm more for the old-timer songs back on nicovideo.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I didn't expect ELECTROCUTICA to get picked up on any blog, but this really made my day.
Thank you for your comment!! And I'm very sorry for responding so late.
DeleteI like Drain and Melas, too! Vocaloids can perform sounds between a musical instrument and a voice like human, this is their advantage and attraction I think. If you prefer vocaloids' voice as a instrument, please check talaw (or zddn,"ずどどんP") and HAMO once. They are cool, and I love them.
At YOUTUBE, for example...

Have you got the latest album "Re:Cycle" yet? Re:Quiem[Leucos] is so good:) I also have no expectation for comment from the fan of Treow! This makes my day, too.(By Haruka)
I had never listened to a song by ELECTROCUTICA before. It is very interesting. The voice is made by machine, right? But we can listen to this music naturally. And is this a kind of VOCALOID? (I’m sorry I don’t know like this.)
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to rental CD shop, I found VOCALOID is picked up. I was surprised because I know the name VOCALOID since I had heard it by you, but I have never watched that it was picked up on TV. I had thought that usually songs or other entertainments become popular until it is picked up on TV. I understand the power of Internet is more strongly than I had thought. How long have you listening to songs by ELECTROCUTICA or VOCALOID? (By Yoshiko)
Thank you for your comment! Yes, CUTICA produced "Aquila" and "DYE Re:flection" by using Vocaloid.
DeleteWe can understand the power of Internet by Vocaloid boom. Maybe I have been listening to Vocaloid's music since November 2008. Treow(a main composer of CUTICA) has made me a very big fan of Vocaloid. He has changed my life! (Haruka)
Hello!Haruka! Sorry, I had never listened to ELECTROCUTICA. I attracted this song, but I attrracted this background more than it. I like such a symbolic and the near future's backgroung! Had Shizuka Kitajima compose this background? She is very wonderful! I interested in ELECTROCUTICA. I will listen to other songs.(Satoru)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! These songs attract you, really? I'm soooo happy!!
DeleteShizuka Kitajima mainly has devised this background, but I guess many of her members and friends advised her. If you become an enthusiastic fan of CUTICA, please tell me. I can lend its CDs✌('ω') (Haruka)
Put a space before ( and after ). Correct the second sentence - I major in art history. OR I'm majoring in art history. Change How about them? to What do you think about them?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about this group. They sound like they are young- what do they look like? And why does the band have this name? Actually her sound is too sweet for me.
Ms. MacGregor
Thank you for your comment, and checking my grammatical errors. I corrected them.
DeleteYour supposition is true, I guess they are under 25 years old (I have seen them directly, not only on Internet). You cannot see their faces because they don't uplode them on Internet.
This name has two meanings. One is "electric", and the other is "cute". "Electric" is their music's genre. And thier music fascinates fans very much as they are recieveed an "electric" shock or attracted by so "cute" girl. It is so difficult to express the nuance. (Haruka)
