Hi, I'm Haruka. It has been a long time since I posted last. In this summer vacation, I travel through western Japan: Kumamoto, Moji ( Fukuoka ), Naoshima, Osaka, Nagoya, Shizuoka. I will talk about one of the most exciting memories.
I visited Kakegawa-Katyoen (the place to see many flowers and birds) in Shizuoka with my friend. Birds are so lovely for me that I wanted go there.
In Katyoen, we can enjoy with birds. For example, it has a show by falcons and falconers ("Takajo" in Japanese, someone who trains falcons to hunt). Falconers make falcons fly over our heads. Audience is fascinated with their powerful flies and found that falcons are so cool.
After the show, I could touch a penguin and take pictures with it!! It was so soft and warm.
Besides we can feed cute birds ― ducks, parakeets, emus, and so on. Why don't you play in Katyoen, when you come to Shizuoka?

That's sounds nice! I have looked falcons and falconers in Mitaka.(I lived in Mitaka and there is a Inokashira Park in the neighborhood of my house.)I was very surprised to see falcons in the neighborhood but it was nice. They are so beautiful and so cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love a penguin. When I was a child, I have a mascot of penguin. Their acts of walking is very cute. I want to go Kakegawa-Katyoen someday.

I feel something smart in falcons. Saku
ReplyDeleteThis is Ms. MacGregor. Penguins are not as cute as I thought! Maybe it is better to see them walking - then they seem very cute to me! Do you also like butterflies? I think there is a butterfly park in Japan. I went to the one near my home in Canada. It was important to where brightly coloured clothes - then the butterflies were attracted to us and came and sat on us everywhere. It was fun to see them up close and take photos.
