I’m Yoshiko.
This summer I went to Paris with my family. I visited many famous
places, for example Opera National de Paris, Montmartre, Notre Dame de Paris
etc. Today I introduce my favorite places of Paris to you.
First, I went to a village, Giverny, where the famous painter Claude
Monet had been lived. In his house there are many Japanese Ukiyoe prints that
are Monet’s collections. And there is a garden which is the most famous subject of Monet. Probably almost all of you have looked paintings of this subject. It was one of my dreams since I was 14 years old to look a garden of Monet’s house. So my one dream comes true. And this picture is a pond of a water lily.
And the other picture is The Petit Trianon in The Palace of Versailles. It was very pretty place like a world of “Howl's Moving Castle” which is the movie of Studio Ghibli. In here, I felt as if I were in that movie.

I don't know that there are many Japanese Ukiyoe prints in Monet house. I'm interested in what pictures gave him inspiration. I wanna go there><

Yoshiko, This is Ms. MacGregor. It looks like you had a great trip. The building in the photo is very pretty indeed. According to the name it is small - is it really small? You said you went to the opera house. Did you happen to see an opera while you were there? I am going to read Part 2 now, so please read my next comment!
