Blog#9: A Special Place for me

Ya, I'm Haruka. Let me introduce my memorable place. It is Toyama, a Japanese prefecture which faces the Japan Sea and has a lot of mountains. Have you ever been there?

These pictures were taken in Keyakidaira, which is the end of the line for Kurobe Gorge Line ( Kurobe Kyokoku Tetsudo in Japanese ). You can see how beautiful Toyama's nature is. I like Toyama because of its greatness. It told me power and awe of nature.

And Toyama is the first place I stayed alone. I had never traveled by myself, so I was nervous at that time. But Toyama is so calm that I didn't feel nervous. There are not too many people, and they don't hurry like Tokyo people. Its calmness is the best point of it.

When you have a chance to go to Toyama, feel its greatness and calmness please.

What a wonderful place it is! So beautiful. I want to go there when I have a chance.
And when I heard the story you first stayed alone there, I decided to stay alone somewhere too because you looks that you lived a full time. Now I like to go on a trip by myself. It can be make me feel refreshed. (Of course I like to go on a trip with friends too!)

  2. Dear Haruka,
Thank you for introducing this really beautlful place. I have not been to Toyama before. I was made to feel calm when I looked at these tranquil photos. How do you get from Tokyo to Toyama? And, did you walk along the gorge? It seems you might have gone hiking on that day - true?
Oh, one more question - did you eat anything especially tasty while you were on your trip? It is great you had a chance to travel alone. Now that you know the pleasure of travelling by yourself, you won't be afraid to do more things by yourself in the future.
